The Tommykaira M20b 2.2 is one of the rarest complete cars produced by Tomita Yume Koujou, Tommykaira's Kyoto-based production facility. Built on the GDB Impreza WRX STi platform, it represents a full factory conversion covering engine, ECU, suspension, bodywork, and interior — not a tuning package, but a complete reimagined vehicle sold as a finished product. The M20b 2.2 takes Subaru's EJ20 turbocharged boxer and strokes it to 2,149cc, raising output to approximately 355 ps and 431–441 Nm while retaining the factory Garrett turbocharger for reliability and driveability. Bilstein dampers, Brembo brakes, and the full Tommykaira aero package complete the conversion. Fewer than a handful of these cars are known to exist.

This 2002 example is finished in WR Blue Mica (02C) with the matching blue STi cloth interior — the most iconic colour combination on the GDB generation. It carries the full factory Tommykaira specification and benefits from a Blitz radiator and TEIN height-adjustable coilovers. Currently located in Japan.
